What is a “Member”?
A Texas811 Member is a company that has contracted with to be notified of any excavation near their underground facilities.
If I am with a company that is a Texas811 member, how do I obtain a login for ticket searches?
Register for an account here. Once approved you will be able to login and use the ticket search.
I’m not a member, but I still need a ticket search. How do I request one?

Is there a fee for the ticket search and if so, how much is the fee?

How long will the search take?
A ticket search can generally take anywhere between 24 to 48 hours.
What type of information will I need to provide for a ticket search?
The following information will be needed in order to perform a ticket search:
  • Ticket Number
  • If number is not available the following information will be needed:
  • Contact Name
  • Contact Number
  • Company Name that originally called in the ticket
  • Fax or email address of contact
  • City where work was being performed
  • Address or nearest intersection of where the work was done.
  • Time frame of locate request (Month/Day/Year)
  • Was there damage done during the job? If so, what type of line was hit?
Can anyone request a ticket search?
Information regarding the locate ticket will only be released to the individual representing the company that requested the ticket.
I have my ticket number; I just need a copy of it. How do I obtain a copy of my ticket?

What happens if I pay for the search, but no results are found?
You will be contacted and given the option to expand the search for an additional fee.
Can you find a locate request even if I did not submit it through Texas811, but through one of the other call centers instead?
If the locate is originated through one of the other call centers, other than Texas811, you will be referred to that call center to obtain that information.
